Testimonials

I was recommended Hubbard Conservation to carry out a detailed Heritage report on my Grade 2 listed building which is also in a conservation area to support a planning application. I have to say I was very satisfied with all the aspects of the works carried out by Hubbard Conservation.

They were very professional from the outset, providing a detailed proposal setting out clear tasks and cost, through to a very detailed site visit, with a very comprehensive and actuate report that in my opinion supported the planning approval.

Victoria was extremely knowledgeable and provided time, diligence, and interest during all stages of the works. I would highly recommend Hubbard Conservation. I’m a very happy customer.

Victoria was a delight to deal with. She made a potentially difficult planning situation smooth and easy with a smart and in-depth review of the history of our home which unlocked a compelling argument in favour of the changes we wished to make. We learned so much about the rich history of our home, things we had no idea about and her research and discoveries were worth her fee alone – let alone the success we had with the planning application. Can’t recommend her highly enough as a heritage consultant and historian.

Victoria has skilfully assisted William Green Architects on numerous heritage projects. Her ability to understand our approach and accommodate and inform the design direction has time and again delivered well considered successful project outcomes at each stage. Victoria, listens to both us and our clients and assist in developing a considered and balanced approach to Heritage complexities. We are always grateful for her advice.

I have worked with Victoria on various projects over the past few years. Her Heritage and Conservation experience and expertise have been invaluable both from an architectural point of view and for the benefit of the clients. She took the time to visit the project sites and worked closely with myself to ensure that we achieved the best possible results for the client. As part of the planning applications, detailed Heritage Statements were produced by Victoria.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Victoria at Hubbard Conservation. She is thorough, friendly, professional and takes the time to ensure that reports are detailed and meets the requirements for the Planning/Listed Building applications.

I was recommended to the services of Hubbard Conservation by a planning consultant that I regularly work with. Right from the outset I was impressed with Victoria’s diligent and enthusiastic approach to her work. Meeting Victoria on site is something I will always look forward to as her ability to unpick the history of a building never fails to impress.

I first had the pleasure of working with Vicky in her role as part of the team investigating buildings in Chipping Norton for the Historic England funded project, the end product of which was an excellent book. Her organisational skills and friendly enthusiasm made my part of the work very easy and enjoyable, and she showed genuine interest in learning more about my specialism, which resulted in her volunteering to assist me on a couple of other jobs in the area. Bravely overcoming precarious high ladders and dark cobweb-filled spaces, her powers of observation proved useful in interpreting the development of the buildings. An obvious care about how buildings are looked after, and a grasp of the complex regulations surrounding planning aspects are matched by a willingness to assist and find ways to help clients make the most of their unique circumstances and requirements without compromising the historic value of the properties.

Victoria has worked on two quite sensitive projects on our behalf which required applying for retrospective planning permission on a grade 2 listed property. For both applications she wrote compelling narrative which resulted in positive outcomes. Had the applications been turned down the financial consequences would have been expensive.

Not only is Victoria a thorough and talented individual but also a pleasure to work with.

We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Victoria on a number of listed building projects in our office over the last couple of years. We have found her work to be thorough, as well as both thoughtful and insightful.

I had the pleasure of working with Victoria on a recent project involving listed farm buildings, and I must say she was absolutely fantastic to collaborate with! Her assistance and the information she provided in her reports were invaluable, and they played a crucial role in our design process.  Victoria’s expertise helped us highlight the unique features of the buildings and truly showcase their heritage. It’s evident that she’s passionate about preserving and celebrating the historical significance of these structures.  I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Victoria again in the future, and I wholeheartedly recommend her as a heritage consultant for any project.  She’s a real asset to have on board!
